About the awards

The Research Society Research Awards recognise research that makes a difference to business and social policy planning performance. They provide a platform from which to demonstrate the importance of research, researchers and research companies as an integral part of a successful business and social policy planning.

The Awards are an initiative of The Research Society and this reflects our focus on promoting the value of research, insights and analytics.

The Research Society’s Research Awards are the annual celebration and promotion of the greatest examples of the industry’s impact. Beginning in 2006, the awards have evolved to best represent the research and insights profession, this year adding two new categories; Research Partner of the Year and Illuminate (Research News) Article the Year Awards.

The Research Awards are all open to companies that have Research Society members. We welcome entries from everyone, from one person consultancies to larger agencies.

Why enter the Awards?

The Research Society Research Awards provide a platform to recognise and reward those who make a difference to business and social policy planning performance. Winning a Research Society Award is not only an acknowledgement of professional success, it is a demonstration of a long term commitment to better business outcomes.

The Awards are an opportunity:

  • To reward great work and achievements by individuals and teams
  • To recognise best practice and high standards of service
  • To promote and celebrate innovation
  • To develop and increase the profile of our profession

Winners of the Awards will be unveiled and honoured at The Research Society Awards Night. The winners will receive a prestigious Awards trophy and will be included in promotional activity after the awards ceremony, including feature articles in the Research News magazine.

Judging process

Winning a Research Society Research Award is about successfully addressing the Award criteria. Each category will have a judging panel of experts including acknowledged research professionals with experience in the sector evaluating awards entries.
